GSA Schedule SalesTotal GSA Schedule Sales FY2006-2010For decades, GSA Schedule Contracts have been saving federal buyers and government contractors time and money in the form of shortened procurement cycles and reduced administrative expenses. The GSA Schedule is the most widely used government contract vehicle, and sales under the GSA Schedules have risen every year since the program's creation.
The chart below provides a snapshot of total GSA Schedule sales from fiscal year 2006 to 2010. Sales under the GSA Schedules increased by more than 11% over this five year period, topping $38.8 billion in fiscal year 2010. While GSA Schedule sales have begun to level off in recent years, we expect them to pick up again as GSA revamps the Schedules program and steps up marketing efforts, and as use of the GSA Schedules is slowly extended to state and local government.
