FEDSched is thankful to be in a position to give back this Giving Tuesday.
Last week, FEDSched donated $1
,000 to the DC Central Kitchen (DCCK). For the second year in a row, our contribution was matched by a coalition of supporters. FEDSched has made annual contributions to DCCK since 2004. It was that year our founder, Roxanne H. Dobrynski, heard the organization was short on holiday food supplies. In addition to providing over 3 million nutritious meals each year, DCCK trains people within the community for careers in the culinary industry.
FEDSched began donating to Wreaths Across America in 2013 when our president, Julie C. Crosby, heard reports the local chapter was experiencing a shortage. Each year, Wreaths Across America organizes donations and volunteers to lay wreaths at thousands of cemeteries to commemorate those who have served. Today, we donated 50 wreaths to honor our veterans at Arlington National Cemetery during the 2018 wreath-laying ceremony.
