GSA IT Schedule 70
According to an Internet of Things Cloud report by Govini, federal agencies spent $3.3 billion on cloud computing in fiscal year 2015. In response to the increasing demand for cloud computing services, GSA established a Cloud Computing subcategory or Special Item Number (SIN) under the GSA IT Schedule 70 Contract in April of 2015.
SIN 132-40, Cloud Computing Services, offers commercially available cloud services, including:
- Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
- Platform as a Service (PaaS)
- Software as a Service (SaaS)
- Emerging Cloud Services
GSA SIN 132-40 Cloud Computing Sales
While the Cloud Computing SIN is still new, there are now over 30 companies offering services through the SIN. In the first three quarters of fiscal year 2016, companies took in over $2.7 million in sales through SIN 132-40. With fourth quarter sales under the GSA Schedule Contract traditionally outperforming quarters one through three, we could see final fiscal year 2016 sales reach $4 million.
